Diane Chiucchi has studied all types dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatic and Pointe since the age of three. She has received most of her training as a child from her parents the late Stanley and Margaret Bower, directors and teachers of the Bower School of the Dance in Ithaca, New York. Ms Diane has also received specialized training in Ballet, Pointe and Character dance at the School of American Ballet in New York City and Jazz, Tap and Acrobatics from the June Taylor School of Dance also in New York City.
Ms Diane is a former Radio City Music Hall Rockette with ten years of professional experience. She has appeared with the world famous Rockettes in numerous television productions and benefit performances as well as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. She was also choreographer for musical theater productions in Boca Raton, Florida.
Ms Diane is the teacher and choreographer of the New York State Fair "Talent Showcase", Dance Caravan "Stars of Tomorrow", Dance Olympus "Talent Search", "Dance America" champions since 1982 and most recently 2008 American Dance Project Champions. She was awarded best choreographer at the 1996 Dance America Competition in New York City and at the 1999 Dance Elite competition in Syracuse, New York. She is also teacher/choreographer of the 1997 Dance America National Champions "Colors of the Wind". Her students are silver, gold and platinum medalists at the Dance Masters of America Performing Arts competition in St. Petersburg, Florida, Dance on the Beach, Dance Makers, On Stage America and Can Dance Competitions. Ms Diane is the recipient of Ithaca New York's Centennial Award for outstanding achievement in the arts and a member of the Professional Dance Teachers Association. She has been the director, teacher, and choreographer of the Ithaca Academy of Dance for twenty-three years. and most recently the owner/director of the Brooksville Dance Academy for the past eight years. She is now the proud owner, executive director, teacher, and choreographer of the new Brooksville Academy of the Arts beginning its first season
Miss L.A. (Leslie Ann) Chiucchi has studied dance since the age of two and a half, and is blessed to be a third generation dance instructor. She has trained in Acrobatics, Ballet, Contemporary, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theater, Pointe, and Tap. She began her training under her mother, Diane Chiucchi, at the Ithaca Academy of Dance in Ithaca, NY, then continued her training at the Broadway Dance Center, NY, NY. L.A. studied with such teachers as; Frank Hatchett, Sheila Barker, Pam Chancey, Rhapsody, Germaine Salsberg, Tracie Stanfield, Jason Samuels, Chloe Arnold, Malin Zaki, Brian Friedman and many other phenomenal instructors, as well as Tap Master Debbie Dee.
Miss L.A. has had fourteen years experience as an assistant and associate teacher, which has allowed her the opportunity to travel across the country to attend such workshops as; Dance Olympus, Dance Caravan, The Pulse, American Dance Projekt, Dance Makers, and the 2008 Dance Teachers Intensive Seminar at Oklahoma City University Department of Dance.
L.A. has received numerous performance awards including; 1997 New York State Fair Talent Showcase and Dance Elite Grand Champions, along with 1998 Dance Olympus and Dance Caravan Overall High Score Awards. She has traveled with Dance Olympus as a member of their VIP program for young dancers, and has also been a performance dancer for Pollyanna Dorough, a Latin Pop artist, at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games torch ceremony in Orlando, FL.
In 2007, L.A. Co-Directed and choreographed Asher Dance Eclectic’s “White Hot Broadway”, an able and mobile-bodied dance company based in Tampa, FL. She has also had the privilege to choreograph “Guys and Dolls” Lansing, NY and in 2008 “Grease” for our own Hernando High School. L.A. is currently a teaching artist for the VSA of FL, where she teaches Jazz/Movement to children and adults with disabilities.
Miss. L.A. is truly honored to have been an instructor, choreographer, and Artistic Director of the Brooksville Dance Academy for the past four years. She is now looking forward to an exciting transition as Director of the Brooksville Academy of the Arts, and Kicks & Co.
Randi Hoidalen Olsen has been singing since the age of 2. She now holds a Bachelor Music degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education from the University of Tampa. She recently played Maria in the St. Francis Cabrini production of The Sound of Music. Favorite roles include “Nellie” in South Pacific, “Guinevere” in Camelot and “Ginny Beth” in the Off-Off Broadway production of Hot Coffee at the Lambs Theatre in Times Square.
Ms. Randi is a composer and producer/director as well as a private instructor of Voice, Piano and Flute. She is grateful to God for the many opportunities He has put in her path and to her husband Keith and son Peder for their continual Love and Support.
